iPhone Update

It turns out that the iPhone may be getting the new 1.1.4 firmware update soon. This means that the jailbreak process for the 1.1.3 version is no longer going to work. The word is however, that the new firmware 1.1.4 will include the SDK so the iPhone will be well on its way to getting third party software that is going to be made with Apple's approval. This is great news for the consumer even if we may have to pay for apps now because the quality and quantity of the applications available is only going to get better.

A lot of the iPhone software developers out there right now in fact will have a great head start on making great applications for the iPhone. I can't wait to see what we are going to get.

I am personally hoping for an affordable true GPS add on to the iPhone. This would be one of my prayers answered as that is one thing that the iPhone has truly lacked from day one. What is your wish list for great iPhone apps?
